1967 has produced excellent Port wines, such as the Noval Nacional Vintage or Dalva Colheita. This Kopke 1967 is showing great at 50 years of age.
Roy Hersh (2007) 93 points: "Maple syrup color with a tawny rim. A refined nose of mahogany, walnuts, spirit and honey (almost botrytis like). I enjoyed swirling and sniffing over and over as the aromatics are compelling, even with the heat. This Kopke admirably demonstrates a chewy smooth and opulent presence with a prolonged aftertaste that carried some heat that was distracting. Otherwise, it was a sophisticated Colheita that could've been a contender."
Mark Squires (Robert Parker 2017): 95 points. "This is a nice step up compared to the younger parts of the lineup, elegant and focused, with a precise finish, a fresh feel, little discernible brandy and a long, long finish. The classic old tawny flavors of molasses and caramel wash over the palate. This isn't big and thick, but some may very well prefer its elegant and brighter feel. In many ways, it is fresher than the 1981 or 1999 reviewed this issue, and it is better balanced than the 1937. It is very pretty."
