Calvados Camut Rareté is a 70 yo blend of eaux de vie distilled and aged by the Camut family at La Lande St Leger in the heart of the Pays d'Auge, Normandy. It is a wonderful expression of the greatest Calvados, delivering notes of baked apples, toffee, liquorice, plum, prune and old spices. The spirit is perfectly integrated and it offers an amazing complexity and intensity. A slightly more oxidative style than Camut Prestige. One of the greatest spirit ever produced. Camut is the most renowned producer of Calvados in the small appellation of Pays d'Auge. Apples are sourced from their organic orchards, cider fermentation last for several months and are distilled using an old Pot Still. The young Calvados are pumped over constantly to bring additional complexity and flavors. Angel sharers are up to 5%.
