A blend of Sercial from various vineyards mainly Jardim da Serra and Ribeira da Janela and aged in French oak casks from 10 up to 14 years by the natural Canteiro method. Greenish gold hints. Aromas of dried fruits pine and resin. Mineral and fresh palate, long finish.
Neal Martin (Robert parker, 2011): 90 points: "Tasted in Funchal at the grand Madeira tasting. Blended from three different warehouses, the 10-Year Old Reserve has a pale amber hue with green tints. The bouquet is elegant and refined, nothing too showy with walnut, a touch of chocolate, pecan nuts and a touch of smoke. The palate has a soft entry, very understated at first. But there is a very enchanting build with delicate notes of dried orange peel, mandarin, lemon zest and a touch of ginger. Taut and focused towards the finish with good length, this bottle showed better than on previous occasions."
