Calvados Domfrontais

    Calvados Domfrontais AOC was separated from the main AOC Calvados in 1997 to highlight the typicity of this small terroir located in the south part of France's Normandy.

    The complexity of the soil and sub soil, made of limestone, clay, schist and granite is more suited to the production of pears which must represent a minimum of 30% according to the Domfrontais AOC.

    The Best Calvados from the Domfrontais are characterised by great freshness and elegance. Slightly lighter in style than the Pays d'Auge, they develop great complexity and finesse with age.
